The Dota is the highest most remote subregion of the Tarrazu growing region which is surrounded by mountains that form part of the Talamanca Sierra in southern Costa Rica. Its geography is well suited to growing coffee having growing slopes at high altitude that face the early morning sun with cloud protecting the coffee trees in the afternoon.  The unique red soil found in the valley is of volcanic in origin which is very high in nutrients and the area has an average relative humidity of 84%.

All our coffee is sold as whole beans, which we recommend for optimum flavour and freshness.
