Honduras Jose Gomez

Cookie dough and mixed dried fruit, balanced sweetness.

Jose Gomez – owns and runs a small 0.5 hectare farm that was planted in 1994 by Jose's brother, but access and climatic conditions made the farm very difficult to work and produce. Jose's brother decided not to carry on with the farm in 2001, and abandoned the project. Months later, Jose worked to get the land back in shape and his brother then gave him the land.

In 2002 the land had recovered and from then until the 2010 Jose sold his coffee in the conventional market.

The following year with the support of some fellow producers and an exporter Jose began to prepare the first specialty coffees.

With the extra Jose receives for producing quality coffee he is revisting back into his farm and this year his aim is to support his children: one of them now studying at high school in San Pedro Sula and the youngest was born with a problem with her feet which is being treated by a physical therapists so she will be able to walk without problems

All our coffee is sold as whole beans, which we recommend for optimum flavour and freshness.
