Rwanda Gaseke

£9.20

Caramel, lemon grass, grapefruit acidity with hints of vanilla on the finish

This coffee comes from a washing station located in Nyamasheke district, sector of Gihombo, in the village of Gaseke. The village is dominated by mountains which make part of the East African Rift Valley. A wonderfull coffee growing location.

The coffee cherries from around 2,000 farmers surrounding the village and washing station are collected from a number of local collection points.

Received cherries are sorted out on tables to separate unripe, defected and undesirable cherries from high quality cherries. The remaining ripe red cherry is then immersed in a water tank and “floaters” are removed.

The coffee is then wet processed and fully washed following the depulp.

All our coffee is sold as whole beans, which we recommend for optimum flavour and freshness.
