Coffee / Electric Blends

Electric Blend

£7.60

Good body and a rich fruity base / Sweet nuttiness and almond (marzipan) - balanced out by a fruity acidity / Lovely rounded lush finish.

Electric Blend is a twist on an old blend.

We’ve widened out the base El Salvador Finca La Arada 20% to give a little more body / richness to the blend, kept the Brazilian Fazenda Progresso at 35%, still bringing in some background nuttiness, moved the Colombia Finca Sabintase up by 5% to increase the bright/sharp sweetness. Nice rounded finish.

All our coffee is sold as whole beans, which we recommend for optimum flavour and freshness. If you don’t own a grinder you can buy one here, or you can specify that you’d like us to grind it for you in your Basket.

Big creamy sweetness / Fruity acidity and deep chocolate with macadamia nuts and a finish to die for...

Brazil and El Salvador at a select level have some of the most amazing coffee beans in the world and three of them go to make up this espresso blend. El Salvador Finca El Ingenio de los Ausoles a wonderful micro Lot washed coffee and two coffees from Brazil, a washed coffee from Fazenda Rio Verde and a natural from Sítio São José to balance the washed coffee acidity. Simply a wonderful latin amalgam.

All our coffee is sold as whole beans, which we recommend for optimum flavour and freshness. If you don’t own a grinder you can buy one here, or you can specify that you’d like us to grind it for you in your Basket.

Traction Blend

£7.60

Creamy and smooth with a little bright acidity and a lovely good depth, body and crema / Takes milk well, some in the camp say very well.

Traction Blend is a blend with a cracking character.

A blend with nice complexity and a little brightness brought about by the Wild Grown Ethiopian Djimmah, but nothing too convoluted, some sweet fruit from the Finca El Bosque and India Sethuraman Pulped Natural to push out the richness and provide depth / body.

Firm favourite in the Electric Coffee camp - there is no question that the Djimmah gives this blend its personality – although not too overbearing - a firm finish and very authentic.

All our coffee is sold as whole beans, which we recommend for optimum flavour and freshness. If you don’t own a grinder you can buy one here, or you can specify that you’d like us to grind it for you in your Basket.

Short Circuit Decaf Espresso

£8.20

Mellow roundedness with bright fruit notes and a medium-ish finish – with a crema that holds up surprisingly well for a full decaf / Great with milk.

Salvation - our decaf blend features three great decaffeinated coffees.

This blend is down on the caffeine, but not on flavour using El Salvador Santa Adelaida Co2 Decaf, Colombia Condor Cerro Bravo Co2 Decaf and Cerrado Co2 Decaf from Brazil. Brewed correctly you will be rewarded - just remember shot sizes are a tad smaller for decaf espresso - so stop the shot just as its consistency becomes loose and/or the colour starts to blonde.

All our coffee is sold as whole beans, which we recommend for optimum flavour and freshness. If you don’t own a grinder you can buy one here, or you can specify that you’d like us to grind it for you in your Basket.

Variable Blend

£7.60

Bright fruitiness with an aromatic complexity and a thick juicy mouthfeel / A vibrant and fairly multifaceted blend which stands up to milk very well and is effortlessly enjoyed straight.

After much tweaking, tasting and fine tuning we settled on the bright fruitiness and complexity of an Ethiopian matching up to the sweet rich earthiness of a Sumatran and  the aromatic notes of a little known Kenyan which make for a vibrant and fairly multifaceted blend without being awkward.

It’s dark with a nice thick juicy mouthfeel which stands up to milk very well and is effortlessly enjoyed straight.

All our coffee is sold as whole beans, which we recommend for optimum flavour and freshness. If you don’t own a grinder you can buy one here, or you can specify that you’d like us to grind it for you in your Basket.
