Coffee / Mexico / Mexico Josefa Lucas Goma - Natural

Mexico Josefa Lucas Goma - Natural

Funky wine gums, dark berries, buttermilk. Super sweet and a thick mouthfeel

This is one hell of an interesting coffee! In fact we have two - one natural (this one) and one washed.

For us the natural processing and varietal of this coffee brings us very close to a natural Ethiopian (wine gums) or full bodied Kenyan (grapefruit), than a natural processed coffee from Mexico and maybe this is because the processing was done in very small Micro lots - they could be called Nano lots.

The processing at this farm tiny and you would think that this would add to inconsistamcy - but it does not.

The reason for this is that the coffee of Josefa Lucas Goma is grown on his own Terruño (homestead / garden) on and around the extinct volcano called Cerro San Juan.

We were lucky enough to visit Josefa this year (Jan 2017) and a number of very small producers. It is always a great experience to meet and chat to garden growers - in some respects these guys are more focused on quality with less tools to hand

All our coffee is sold as whole beans, which we recommend for optimum flavour and freshness.
